Busy at work!

We have been very busy at school since we came back from our mid-term break!
We have been learning all about the number 7 or Sir Seven as we like to call him! We have been painting pictures of the gingerbread man and also robins for winter. Our favourite rhyme at the moment is One, Two, Three, Four, Five, once I caught a fish alive! We have been singing it every day at school! Click on the link to hear it!

Wizard Walk 2013

For the third year running the Parents Association at St Patricks organised  their wizard walk. This is a fun and enjoyable fund raising event where staff and students dress up for Halloween and take part in a walk around Castlebar. There was great excitement in Senior Infants on Friday October 25th when everyone dressed up in scary Halloween costumes. We also played some Halloween games in the classroom like ducking for apples and  had lots of treats! We were also treated to a fantastic Science show in the school hall where we saw all sorts of great experiments. It was a fantastic day!

Mayo Day 2013

During the month of September, there was great excitement in our class as we got ready for both the Mayo senior and minor teams to play in the All Ireland finals in Croke Parke.

We had lots of fun dressing up in our Mayo colours for our parade around Castlebar. We learned the words to the Green and Red of Mayo, decorated our classroom and corridor and even had a visit from Chris and Dave who sang their song "Mayo For Sam". Unfortunately it was not to be for the Senior team this year but well done to the Minor team who had a great victory over Tyrone!

Here are some pictures of us all dressed up for the parade!
